Val della Torre is a mountain site in the Italian Alps with a recorded launch elevation of 984 m. It works best in easterly, south-easterly and southerly winds, and can also work in north-easterly, south-westerly and westerly winds. Pilots fly it for ridge soaring and thermal, using foot launch.

There are 4 takeoff sites very close to each other: Lower takeoff: 880 m Normal takeoff QNH: 980 m (550 m AGL) Takeshi takeoff approx 1040m High Takeoff: 1160M The high takeoff (top of Roselli mountain) is suitable for hike&flys.
There are 2 landing sites: 1) School landiong site (identified on this map) - big and grassy field in the center of the valley, with a windsock on the middle.
Turin-Alpignano-Valdellatorre. From the end of Valdellatorre (Molino di Punta), take Via Gablera and leave the car at the third bend after the end of the built-up area.
Avoid flying with NW winds. Beware of very fast developing thunderstorms over higher alps some 10..30km to the west. They can arrive literally in 30minutes and bring strong gusts with them.
Caselle international airport airspace begins just few kilometers towards North East. Check the visual flight maps if planning any cross country activities on the plains.
