Take-off

Either the smallshallow field, or the one little bit steeper 30m to the east.

Landing

On Chatelair airfield runway or behind Fenis castle. If you land on the airfield, please notify aeroclub in advance. If you have aeronautical radio, use 130,000MHz, in case not - inform them in person.

Access and parking

If arriving on highway, exit at Nus, then follow the signs towards Aosta. When entering nus, follow signts to S.barthelemy. Go up for several kilometers and go inside the S.barthelemy valley.

Local weather notes

1) Westerlies, northerlies or foen winds. Do not fly! Extremly turbulent and dangerous. If forecasts give northerlies but on takeoff you find a gusty wind from south, it's a rotor.

Flight rules

Attention, general aviation,ultralight and helicopter traffic in the valley. It is suggested not to fly in the center of valley at high altitude. Do not fly west from Nus, the ATZ of Aosta starts there.
