Site briefing highlights

Short extracts from ParaglidingEarth. Read the full guide before you fly.

Take-off

Spacious grassy slopes for take-off halfway up and at the summit. Easy launch and often fairly thermic in summer with cycles flowing up the south face.

Landing

There is a landing space below the cable of the Buissons-Chamois cable car but it is for expert pilots only. The official landing zones are at Antey-Saint-Andre, or Maen sports centers and easy access.

Access and parking

From Aosta follow Breuil-Cervinia, at Buissons take the cable car to Chamois and the local ski resort lifts to the summit.

Local weather notes

Don't fly with strong west wind or Foehn. Watch the winds in the Valley D'Aosta. There is a risk of over development in the region.
