About this flying site

For hike&fly lovers, you can reach the site also from the landing or Pinasca. Depending on your level of fitness, it may take 1..2 hours. There is no water on the summit or ridge. But there are fountains in the villages on the way up.

Take-off

Grassy takeoff, quite large, can easily host >10 wings. One can takeoff towards SE and W easily, but also towards NE is necessary (smaller area, more stones).

Landing

There are multiple landing sites available. The main landing site is identified on the map. Very easy to topland iof necessary.

Access and parking

No access restriuctions on takeoff or landing. Getting to the takeoff involves as a minimum 30 min hike.

Local weather notes

Usually very generous site in autumn and winter, and string site in spring / summer. The valley breeze down below typically arrives at 10..11AM and lasts until 17..18. Can be string (25kmh) but normally never too string for a safe landing.
