Take-off
Ideal site for a small hike&fly!
Take-off is rather small, only 1 wind at a time.
Be very careful wjen there is 0 wind, and avoid attempting the takeoff when the wind is from behind, even if very slightly. many people have been on the trees below already.
Access and parking
1) By walking from Pomaretto. It takes approximately 600m vertical gain.
2) by car , but the last part - some 150m still has to be walked.
Local weather notes
This flying site is flyable when there is some valley breeze. It allows hours of soaring in the area of the takeoff. But flying XC from this site is very difficult. Use Monte Cucetto takeoff for XC instead.
Do not fly when strong westerly wind is present, or even only forecasted for the same day.
The valley breeze may become very strong on some days, especially in the summer. Best is to avoid flying in early afternoon.
