About this flying site

One of extremely rare possibilities to fly in the hills of Langhe Torinesi. Often the hills offer excellent cross country opportunities. The height difference is small, so it should be flown in the right conditions when there is a high chance of immediate thermalling just in front of the takeoff. Often it is like that.

Take-off

Nice smooth field, enough for a single paraglider start at a time. Start only in presence of thermal wind from the front if you are going for a thermal XC. NOTE: as of April2025 the status of this takeoff site is unknown, since pretty much nobody has used it for the last 5 years as minimum.

Landing

Near Bricco Musso, technical due to obstacles, certainly not for beginners, it is highly recommended to see it before you attempt to fly.

Access and parking

Rather tricky. Get to the intersection of SP97 and SP102, it like on a saddle. Take the small gravel road beginning just in front of the church. Walk, or you need a serious offroad vehicle. Get to the hilltop, pass to the neighbor hill. You should already see the takeoff from the road. Get closer to the takeoff and look for a small footpath in the middle of the bushes, then walk it up, quite steep.

Flight rules

The flying site is on the limit of Turin Caselle airport's CTR. The flying inside the CTR is illegal and can be dangerous - so do not fly to the west from the takeoff area! The upper CTR starts 1500ft (500m) above ground level. So avoid flying at altitude of more than 1000m over the takeoff area.
