Jenzig is a site barely 10 min from downtown Jena and its tallest 'mountain'. Best site of the local club 'dgfc-jena', its orientation is south. Great site for soaring as well as thermalling - winter and summer.
small landing field adjacent to the B7, just outside the city limits
from downtown Jena follow directions to Buergel - Eisenberg on the B7. As you leave the town (about 500m after the town sign), turn left onto a gravel road going uphill. Close to the road there is a sign explaining all about the site
beware of strong wind often unnoticed when down at the landing zone; strong wind might cause heavy turbulences, esp from SE
please contact one of the locals before flying for the first time! they will gladly tell you all there is to know
