Glen Mooar launch is a grassy field next to sand cliffs with a technical launch that takes you onto the main west coast ridge for long coastal flights north to Ballaugh and south to Peel. This launch is only suitable for paragliders as is it is necessary to inflate your glider some way back in the field and walk through the rotor near the edge in order to launch, making a sharp right turn onto the sand cliffs in order to gain height.
