Sartfell is a 702 ft top to bottom. This is a compact site with good top and bottom landings. The walk up is about 20 minutes and can be driven most of the way with care in a 4×4 if the ground is reasonably dry. This site can work really well in thermic conditions with flights to the Point of Ayre being made from here in the past. The bowl on the east side comes in to its own when the wind is more to the south.
Forecasts are planning aids, not safety clearance. Check current observations, official airspace and NOTAM information, local rules and your own experience before every flight.
