Take-off
Take off is from the lumpy, fairly abrupt edge. Find a lump where you can get your wings balanced. The most commonly used is from directly in front of the stile which gives access into the old church yard.
Landing
Top: The grassy area is fairly small, so the best approach is low and for hang gliders, crosswind. There are raised lumps in places close to the edge. As a result landing can be in wind shadow. Be prepared for a fast landing.
Access and parking
Drive to the cul-de-sac off the most westerly bend of 'The Headlands'. Park on the road. Rig on the grassy area and carry the glider north to the top of the dunes.
