Take-off
ATTN: South TO: you must pass UNDERNEATH the cables of the 'le Brevent'-cable car! (> see pix!)
Landing
usual LZ in Chamonix: Bois du Bouchet - not visible from TO.
ATTN: this LZ is VERY close to the (year round) no-fly zone LF R-30A! To be on the safe side, make your approaches from the north side of the main road!
Alternative-LZ: Savoy (relatively near gondola), but prohibited in winter.
Access and parking
Gondola from Chamonix -special traiffs for PG in summer: http://www.chamonix.com/planpraz-brevent,82,en.html
Local weather notes
Winds > 20kmh from W - N: very turbulent; you'll be flying the lee side!
If on a good day nobody is flying from there - there must be a good reason. Instead go to the Plain Joux site just 20km to the west (near Passy), most likely everybody will be there.

>> July-August: be aware of no-fly-zone on south side of Chamonix (Mont Blanc -Aiguille du Midi)! (> see pix)
>> LF R-30A active year round!! (> see pix!)
Forecasts are planning aids, not safety clearance. Check current observations, official airspace and NOTAM information, local rules and your own experience before every flight.
