About this flying site

Only 2 or 3 wings can simultaneously take off but the field is wide enough for every one to prepare their wings. Due to the valley breeze, the wind at takeoff is almost allways coming front. Tall trees at end of take off, not exactly beginners friendly...

Landing

There are 2 possible landings : Marlens or Marthod, but both are hardly reachable by glide only (due to valley breeze) So this takeoff is mostly used for XC. Landing at Ugine is discouraged because grass owners have not shown empathy toward paragliders.

Local weather notes

Usable in almost any flyable conditions but its full potential is unleashed the morning (S-E face). As the day progressed, the valley breeze becomes stronger and stronger, making it harder and uncomfortable to find thermals. In conditions of strong North wind (NW,N,NE), reaching the upper crest might prove quite uncomfortable (Lee side). You can still escape however lower than the crest, but that's trickier
