About this flying site
It might happen that your arrive too late at this takeoff (like 12am or later) and the valley breeze is already blowing from the back (North)
Then there is an alternate takeoff (check the map), that can also be used with North wind from which you can still takeoff and reach the south face (in the lee side).
Discouraged with strong North wind !
A good idee to go to 'Aravis', in spring. Beaufortain is a good district for family holidays: a lots of differents activities.
You can finish your day in 'Le Cormet de Roselend', a soaring site. You will fly until the night with the breeze!

By car : turn to the left when you arrive in this ski station. Keep the road to the end, there is an Altitude restaurant on the top.
During winter or sping when there is still a lot of snow (up to around beginning of May), the road to the takeoff is unusable by car, but you can use the chairlift, there are one way tickets for paragliders.
During summer (July and August) there are (in 2020 : free) buses that you can use from to go from the Valley (Beaufort or Villard sur Doron) to Les Saisies. Then you can use the chairlift (open in July and August) to reach the takeoff

Local weather notes
Later in the day the breeze might be stronger than the thermals and be coming in your back.
Forecasts are planning aids, not safety clearance. Check current observations, official airspace and NOTAM information, local rules and your own experience before every flight.
