About this flying site
This is an excellent easy site, which offers good ridge soaring in the evening when restitution often sets up. We often go to this site when the wind is over the back at early in the day at Peña Negra.

Access and parking
You drive up the Chia pass from the Piedrahita (Corneja) valley. You will go through Villafranca and Navacepedilla de Corneja. about 50m after going over the pass there is a forest road on the right.
Local weather notes
This site can take a lot of southerly wind witha degree of safety (slightly rising grazing land behind reduce rotor effects. Often the base can be low and raining in the Piedrahita valley, and flyable in Chia.
Flight rules
Little used site, but essential on stronger SE days when the wind fails to come in at PN. On these days give good evening flying. Beware flying here on strong wind strong thermal days mid afternoon.
