great site for a lot of things - just do not underestimate it! can get some rough thermals smashing you around. record 130 km restricted to 5 pilots in the air. Please do not park at the takeoff - leave the car at the gravel road behind (just 100m to walk, cmon!) winching is done by the local club: DGFC Jena (check their homepage)
on top of a very tiny ridge - barely 40 m difference. optimal direction NNW
just below takeoff there is a small stretch of grass, just be sure there is nothing laboured. In general pilots land on top where you take off. Make sure not to land too far back - there might be some nasty rotors!
Blankenhain south in direction Rudolstadt. As you reach to top of the ridge take a sharp left.
