About this flying site

Be aware of eddies between the tall trees after take-off, specially if there is a northern wind component. Landing fee to be paid to the farmer at the landing area. When wind is too strong, the launching site at Oberrieden might be an alternative!

Take-off

Small clearing on ridge. Just wide enough for one paraglider. Wind has to be easterly (so called Bise) between about 15 and 25 kmh.

Landing

Field just below the takeoff. Windsock indicates the landing area. Alternative landing near Saalsporthalle/Sihlcity.

Local weather notes

Only flyable when Bise is blowing (Easterly wind).

Flight rules

Ceiling 1700 meter aSL unless airspace is specifically made available to paragliders by the Airport of Zurich. In this case the ceiling is raised to 2300 meters aSL, radio required. Note: There is a area to the North and Northwest where Airspace starts at 1350 meters aSL. Make sure you get all airspace information before flying in this area.
