About this flying site

Beautyfull place to fly, not crowded at all, mountain thermal flying but not as tough as in the big dolomites, great possibilies of xc in almost all directions, classical the flight to bassano it's 50km. This is the place (specially this take off)you can see on the movie 'Never Ending Thermal'.

Take-off

Campogrosso 45:43.758 N 011:10.766 E alt m1470 facing south-east. From Recoaro 5-7 km to Campogrosso pass, then 200m before the mountain hut turn right, go for another 400m and park when the road turns left and you can see the valley; TO is 50m on the right. Mostly in summer, or if you want to take off early or late, it's a wonderful place to relax also. Unfortunately it's a little bit small and short.

Access and parking

Recoaro Terme: by car 1hour and a half from venice, little more than 1h from Bassano, the same from Verona and more or less from Trento or the Garda Lake. By train to Vicenza and then another hour by bus to Recoaro.

Local weather notes

Norh wind can be dangerous and prevent flying if strong; if light can give good flying conditions. On this take off anyway you can notice well if the north wind is to strong
