Take-off
An extension of the same ridge that forms Cats Tor, Shining Tor is the highest point in Cheshire at 1817ft (559m) and the highest Paragliding site in the Peak District.

Hazards and cautions
- Airspace: Class D, 3000 MSL.
- Most PSA sites are valley sites — the club warns conditions can get dangerously rough in strong winds or when the wind is off the slope, and most sites can be wave-affected. If in doubt, seek advice from experienced local pilots or a club coach.
