Site briefing highlights

Short extracts from Devon and Somerset Condors HGPG. Read the full guide before you fly.

Take-off

The take off field is flat topped and rounded making for easy launches with plenty of space behind. If using the alternate launch in the next field to the North then be cautious of the barbed wire fence especially in higher wind speeds.

Landing

Top landing: In the take off field. If attempting to top land the alternate take off field beware of the barbed wire fence. Do not top land any field if it is in crop or has livestock present.

Access and parking

Drive South out of Honiton on the A375 toward Sidmouth and after 2.5 miles turn left opposite the Hare & Hounds pub onto the B3174 towards Seaton. After approx.

Hazards and cautions

  • Rotor on launch from the wooded area if the wind is off to the North
  • Sea breeze can switch the wind direction very quickly
