Planning information for Farway
Take-off
The take off field is flat topped and rounded making for easy launches with plenty of space behind.
If using the alternate launch in the next field to the North then be cautious of the barbed wire fence especially in higher wind speeds.
The trees to the North side of launch may produce rotor if the wind is off. Be cautious on launch and if scratching low.
Landing
Top landing: In the take off field. If attempting to top land the alternate take off field beware of the barbed wire fence. Do not top land any field if it is in crop or has livestock present.
Bottom landing: https://what3words.com/herbs.abolish.reassured
But any of the fields in front of take off are suitable to bottom land a PG - take note that some are sloping and are therefore less suitable for HG landing.
If livestock are present try to use an alternative field or land as far away as possible and vacate the field quickly.
Do not climb any fences and ensure all gates are securely closed.
Slope landing is possible in front of either take off field.
Access and parking
Drive South out of Honiton on the A375 toward Sidmouth and after 2.5 miles turn left opposite the Hare & Hounds pub onto the B3174 towards Seaton.
After approx. 2 miles turn left toward Southleigh and follow signs to Farway Countryside Park. Go past the Park entrance and 600 yards further on take the next turn left onto a track with a row of trees on its right.

Approx. 400 yards down the track, as it bends to the right, are a collection of field entrances on the left. Park in the field directly behind take off but only if ground conditions are suitable. If in doubt check before driving in and avoid damaging the surface. Keep to the edge of the field, parking along the hedge line and do not park in the field if livestock is present.
Ensure all gates are securely closed and
DO NOT
park on the track or block any gates and field entrances
