About this flying site
It is the historical take-off of Sainte-Victoire. When thermals are there, it is mainly used to go XC to 50km flatlands distance then continue into Alps. Flights more than 150kms are already done from this take-off !
Take-off
It is natural take-off with rocks. Not recommended for beginners !
Landing
The official Landing is located at the restaurant of Saint-Ser. Another possibility is to land at Puits d'Auzon or in many place but be carefull with crops. In some forest area, there is simply no place to land so be carefull during your transition.
Access and parking
The only way: WALK ! 2 possiblities: From South face or from the North Face.

Flight rules
Many Regulations if you go XC, especially at week days...
• Marseille airport: TMA Provence 1 & TMA Provence 6 so that it is forbidden to fly aver 760m at the west of the mountain & 1400m at the south of the mountain. It is not a problem if you fly along the mountain.
• Nuclear site of Cadarache is a ZIT forbidden from ground to 1300m in a circle area.
• Military sometimes use a ZRT for training, activity on week days only from 900m to 2400m. The zone is between Durance and Luberon going North of the moutain at around 20kms.
• Military training of helicopters in the R95A is reglemented between ground and 1800m at around 40kms going East of the mountain.
For XC, the best way is to go to the North-East.
