About this flying site

Weak thermal trigger areas in front of takeoff. Eastern side over Le Villard de Macot or the quarry below it. Western side over hamlets on W side of valley to W of takeoff.

Take-off

Takeoff is beside the road just before entering Prariond on the road up to La Plagne ski resort. In effect there are 2 takeoffs separated by 100m. western one right on the corner is used by Pros in Summer (proximity to carparking) Eastern one has a more open area without sudden dropoff.

Access and parking

At Aime go to Macot-la-Plagne. Then at end of village turn hard right at roundabout heading towards La Plagne. The bends are numbered starting at 21 just above Macot and reducing as you go up. After bend 10 you come out of forest into open country and parking is on right just past an approx 45 deg bend left heading to Prariond. Pro's takeoff just behind guardrail on corner. Other one back downhill along road just past a group of trees.
