About this flying site

Caution, altitude is limited, due to airways : - 1900 m over Bec d'Orient (W of take off), - 2800 m over take off, the limit is between both.

Take-off

On the road from Montaud to Autrans, before Mortier tunel (road really closed : take off not accessible from Autrans). Montaud village is 5 km south from Voreppe -via Veurey- 15 km NW from Grenoble. Take off is on road side ... no walking ! Impressive for beginners : good slope, not too wide, but no real danger if breeze is present.

Landing

Landing in a field with trees on borders... and possible turbulent conditions... Careful when approaching. Please park only at the public parking and walk your way on the reserved path only, Si tu respect to the locals and fields

Access and parking

from 'Voreppe' direction 'Lans en Vercors'. In 'Veurey', after cross Isere river, take the 'Montaud' direction. drive 5km. Once arrived on the plateau, cross the first residential area then turn right to the sports facilities and park here.

Local weather notes

While take off is NW oriented, fly there by N or even NE. Take care at NW and avoid W : dangers come from wind along the cliffs, W oriented.
