Windsock on a mound before reaching the refuge marks the main take off. Can take off in front of the refuge, or walk up to the top of Mont Jovet.
Bozel in the field between the football field and the lake.
Take the road to Villemartin from Bozel and then follow for Mont Jovet (via La Cour). The road becomes a dirt track at La Cour. Keep following this upwards towards the Mont Jovet refuge.
Mountain Flying so generally light wind. Sometimes need to be away early (before 12.30) as the wind can come over the back.
Stay out of the Vanoise National Park (to the South and South East) if flying XC.
