About this flying site

Good for top to bottoms in winter (easy access and easy safe ski launch). Can be used all day in summer although it can get blown out in the middle of the afternoon. Best for evening soaring (possible to drop back onto the Dent de Villards and soar up this in the valley breeze)

Take-off

By the top of the Bouc Blanc Drag lift

Landing

Primarily Le Praz in winter. La Tania (on the red piste near the main carpark) is possible but more technical. Bozel but this is below the ski lifts for returning in winter but is used more outside the ski season.

Access and parking

Ski lift during the ski season. Other times, dirt track from Courchevel 1850 (note that a permit from the Police Municipal in 1850 is required to use the track). Note that in summer the local club (Natur'ailes) have a mini bus, from the Bozel landing field, usually for late afternoon flights.

Local weather notes

Can get blown out in the middle of the afternoon in summer. There is a balise on the FFVL web site which is at the take off and will give wind speed.
