Take-off
The takeoff is situated at the top of chairlift in Champex, 2192m.
There a west wind take-off and a east one. In summer it is recommended to exploit the thermals with the east wind. In winter it's easy to take with west wind and eventually do some soaring.
Landing
Summer: absolutely NO landing in Champex (even if the field looks inviting)!!! >> the landing field is situated in Orsieres. Can be seen from the east take-off. It's a wide field with hardly any obstacles. Valley wind can be strong in the afternoon!

Access and parking
From Verbier or Martigny, go to Sembrancher, then Orsieres and Champex. Take the chairlift going up La Breyaz mountain (2020:14CHF)
'Best' bus from Orsieres-station leaves at 0924; then you are ready to launch by approx 1030...
