Cable car to Weisshorn: Summer 2024: 8.june -20.october
TO's are on top of the 'Weisshorn' (>> see pictures). In Summer the only direction available is SW, in Winter it's also possible to TO towards NE. In Winter TO is performed on the (groomed) ski slopes. Theoretically this is not allowed in Switzerland. On the Weisshorn it's tolerated, as long as one leaves enough space for the skiers/ snowboardes to pass... TO to the NNW: VERY short, there is NO space for an aborted TO!!! (see picture).
LZ summer: 'Prätschli' or 'Isla'; LZ winter (ONLY): 'Obersee' (frozen lake) or field beside: VERY turbulent in thermic conditions!!! for landings in Chur: >> see http://paragliding.earth/?site=7690 (Calanda): in summer Chur is often VERY windy!

Föhn!!! As the 'Weisshorn' stands virtually alone and is looking like a pyramid, the wind situation can be VERY tricky! If in doubt take the cable car down (free for PG-pilots, when not flying due to wx!) So far several accidents due to wind!!!
